Not because the bass synthesizers sound like hair clippers in your eardrum, but because many electro producers straddle the line between heroicly gruesome bass and frat party dubstep.
Nineteen year old Canadian producer Charlie Darker doesn’t seem to have sub par dance music on his radar. After hearing his remix of “Make You Pop” and noticing the mere 14 DJs he’s “Following” on dominant mp3 sharing platform SoundCloud, it’s clear the young producer has his own vision to handle.

Charlie Darker knew exactly what to do when he heard Diplo & Don Diablo‘s “Make You Pop. He added a powerful sense of urgency to the track. The original always needs to be lauded, but Charlie Darker took the heat brought by the original and swirled it into a natural disaster.
With tribal beats from the start this time, even Diplo could scratch his chin in agreement that Darker’s introduction of the bass synth earlier in the track was a good idea. Charlie also slowed the BPM and doubled the track length, which should turn the dance floors of the world into sex pits for months to come. Nothing is nicer than realizing three minutes into an adrenaline flyer track that it’s about to swing back around for another three minutes. The rising sawtooth is gonna Blow Your Head, something that Diplo & Don Diablo initially brought to the track.
Charlie made it crack. Touché.
