We can’t take “Golden” for granted. As we quickly browse, open and close tabs, download files, delete files and upload some to our iPods while forgetting others, we can’t forget what goes into these works.
Maybe Point.B just broke up with his girlfriend. Maybe he just got a new set of synth keys. Maybe he’s still riding high off his LP The Veld released earlier this year, and the creative juices are still flowing. With “Golden,” South London’s Point.B (Richard Bultitude) has done us the favor of tapping into that elusive creative spark that hovers just out of reach of most of us.
Depending how heady you want to get, he may even have given you a salt shaker grain of that inspiration. Let’s hope there’s more.
