CLEAR! They’ve got the paddles primed and they’re resuscitating the underground.
“Conservative” doesn’t describe Autoerotique. As well as producing monstrously loud electro, Keith Robertson of the Toronto duo is refreshingly opinionated when interviewed. Watch a February 2012 interview with Keith during the Deadmeat tour and get insight to why their newest EP is called “EKG,” widely known as the hospital device used to monitor a pulse.
Few DJs make more of a spectacle of themselves than Steve Aoki, and fewer get louder. This works well with electro. Back in 2009, Aoki’s rectum ripping label Dim Mak clicked into formation with Autoerotique about as easily as the Power Rangers. Still don’t understand the match? Listen to any of the tracks from the EKG EP and then watch this.

Watch the holy shit mega violent video for “Roll the Drums” below and you might find yourself peepin’ the EP on Beatport. Autoerotique’s record has enough soft vocals in “Roll the Drums” to bring both sexes to the orgy and enough head ripping crescendos in “EKG” and “WTF” to fill the biggest of venues.
“Autoerotic” refers to masturbation. Thought I wouldn’t say it? I did.
