Odd Future have come a long way since their roots as skate rats from the LA area. In a bit more than a year they’ve revived hip hop for music fans who gave up on the genre, proven once again that all you need to be famous is an eccentric personality and a Tumblr, and even landed their own hit show on Adult Swim. More importantly, they’ve made it okay for true misfits to be rappers.
In this second freestyle video for TerryTV (see the first), the misfits make it clear that they still vibe naturally despite multiple projects by Tyler the Creator, Frank Ocean, Domo Genesis and Mellowhype reaching critical mass on the charts.
I’d say they’re adjusting to the fame.
