When I first found Machinedrum, I thought his name was a reference to automatic weapons.
Upon Googlement, I found a Swedish rhythm tool called the Elektron Machinedrum and thought it might be a reference to that.
When I finally heard Nor’Carolinan Travis Stewart’s music, I concluded it was a clue to the producer’s drum patterns. You see, Machinedrum makes tracks with a whole lot of bounce. His music never lets you settle. You’re not supposed to sit–ever–when you listen to a Machinedrum track. I’m currently violating that rule, but make no mistake, it’s very difficult for me to type right now.

Like Machinedrum‘s other work, “Diablo” would fit well in a Chicago footwork/juke battle. And I’m loving those flourishes; a lot of which mirror the prequel track “Alarma” released early last year. Sign up for Glasgow record label LuckyMe’s newsletter below and you can cop “Diablo” for free.
Matter of fact, go ahead and grab two.
