Spend the first part of this track running. Spend the second part celebrating.
Georgian producer Gacha picks up the rhythm at 2:35, replacing footsteps and echoing, plucked strings with a soulful organ and explosive snares.
It wouldn’t be the first time Gacha led us into battle, but this Eastern European (Balkan) producer seems more intent on achieving relaxation than victory. We can tell he takes it quite seriously–serious enough to chase it down. Though Gacha produces primarily lower tempo, reverb heavy music, he always avoids melancholy.
You won’t get bummed out listening to Gacha. “Runner” sounds like a cloudy sky looks shortly after rain. There’s a low key enjoyment present in “Runner” the same way we heard it in “Bowl” and “Remember” released last year on Apollo Records.
Stick with Gacha. We might not see the horizon yet. Perhaps there are trees in the way–mountains, people, cities.
But we’re getting there.
